Portrait of Hardik Sorathiya
Software Engineer

Open to freelance work15–25 hrs/week

Hi, I'm Hardik Sorathiya.

I build fast, secure and easy-to-use web applications with React.js, Next.js and TypeScript.

Nearly 5 years of building production web apps with complex business rules, role-based access, dynamic forms and data-heavy interfaces.

About

Building reliable frontends for nearly 5 years.

I'm a Software Engineer with nearly 5 years of experience building scalable, responsive web applications with React.js, Next.js, TypeScript and JavaScript, and working knowledge of Node.js, Express and MongoDB.

I own frontend modules end to end: requirement analysis, architecture decisions, API integration, testing and production delivery. I work closely with clients, backend developers and designers to ship reliable features on real deadlines.

Day to day I use GitHub Copilot and Claude Code, with Skills, Commands, Agents and MCP, to speed up debugging, refactoring and development.

    • End-to-end delivery

Owned frontend delivery of multiple production React.js and Next.js applications: requirement analysis, API integration, testing and performance optimization against real deadlines.

    • Architecture & state

Drove architecture decisions, reusable component development and state management with Redux Toolkit and TanStack Query, promoting consistent, maintainable code.

    • Business logic & RBAC

Implemented complex business rules, dynamic forms, authentication and authorization flows, and role-based access control across client-facing applications.

    • AI-led modernization

Spearheaded a migration from Supabase to REST APIs with Axios and TanStack Query using Claude Code, in 1–2 weeks, while keeping existing functionality stable.

    • Collaboration

Worked with clients, backend developers and designers to clarify requirements and unblock delivery, using GitHub Copilot and Claude Code Skills, Commands, Agents and MCP to speed up debugging and refactoring.

Approach

How I build.

The principles I bring to every module, from first requirement to production.

  • Authorization stays out of the UI

In RBAC-heavy apps I resolve permissions in one place and let components read the result. Modules stay simple, and access rules can change without hunting through the UI.

  • Performance by removing work

Most of my wins come from doing less: eliminating unnecessary re-renders and side effects, paginating on the server and debouncing input. That approach brought a 35–40% gain on a data-heavy platform.

  • Security is a frontend concern

Dynamically rendered content is an injection surface. I have remediated XSS in a print feature and treat any user-supplied markup as untrusted by default.

  • Tested, linted, reviewed

React Testing Library and Jest for behavior, ESLint, Prettier and Husky for consistency. Quality checks run before code is shared, not after it breaks.

AI workflow

AI-assisted, not AI-dependent.

I use Claude Code and GitHub Copilot every day, with custom Skills, Commands, Agents and MCP integrations for repetitive work. The tools speed me up; the architecture decisions and the review stay mine.
